Basement excavation is one of those phases that doesn't get a lot of attention - but it's where everything starts. Get this wrong and you're dealing with problems that follow the build all the way to the finish line. That's exactly why we take it seriously on every lot we work.
We're making steady progress on lot 6 at Skyhaven right now. This is rocky, uneven terrain, and the dig requires multiple machines working in coordination to keep things moving safely. You can see the excavators carving out the hole with precision - not just ripping into the ground, but working methodically to hold clean walls and maintain safe conditions across the site.
This is the kind of work where experience shows. Basement digs in rocky hillside terrain aren't the same as a flat lot with easy soil. Our crew knows how to read the ground, adjust on the fly, and keep the job moving without cutting corners on safety. Every decision made at this stage protects the foundation that goes in next.
What we do here - the excavation, the demolition of rock and material in the way, the grading and setup - it all feeds directly into how solid the concrete work will be later. The two services go hand in hand, and having one crew handle both keeps things tight and efficient throughout the build.
Proud of the team putting in the work day in and day out on this one. Progress like this doesn't happen by accident - it takes skilled operators, the right equipment, and a crew that genuinely cares about doing it right from the ground up.
